RocketmanSingapore’s sprint king Rocket Man will miss the Melbourne Spring Carnival. The four-year-old is on the road to recovery from surgery to repair a hairline fracture to his off-side foreleg.

The flying Rocket Man had a screw inserted to fuse the hairline fracture and he will be confined to his box for the next six to eight weeks ruling out a trip to Melbourne this Spring Carnival.

Trainer Patrick Shaw is hopeful the gelding makes a full recovery in time for the New Year before he pencils in a trip to chase the millions on offer in Dubai.
