The running of the G2 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Kranji tonight should give punters a good formguide for the Group 1 $1 million Singapore Derby over 2000m in July.
The last two Singapore Gold Cup winners Risky Business and El Dorado will line up in tonight’s race along with Waikato making it a very strong field on paper for the 4YO’s to overcome.
The Cliff Brown trained Tenzig is one horse on the Derby trail. Brown ran third in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes last year behind Race Ahead with Ravages who then both backed up in the Derby with Race Ahead winning again while Ravages finished fourth.
This should be a good betting race with many chances. South Easter is racing well and looms as the knockout horse.
