Freedman Bags Treble

Michael Freedman bagged a treble at Singapore races on Friday with Ntini, his first ever winner as a trainer in Singapore, taking out the $125,000 Open Class sprint over 1200m in a photo.

Ntini just got the bob in for red-hot jockey Joao Moreira to edge out the impressive Fantastic Owners who failed to overcome the outside barrier in a nine horse field by the bearest possible margin. He’s certainly one ot follow.

Ntini and Fantastic Owners battled out the race in a titanic head and head battle all the way up the straight with Ntini getting the judges verdict to win by a nose in a time of 1min 11.8secs.

You can stick with Ntini over the short trips after his failure in the 1400m of the Group 3 Jumbo Jet Trophy last time out.

The Brian Dean trained Fantastic Owners will be aimed at the Penang Sprint Trophy and he is no doubt going to be a chance in anything he runs from here on in. The blinkers will come off him now and if he can draw a marble he will be the one to beat in anything he steps out in.

Freedman also saddled up Ariem ridden by Vlad Duric in the last race of the night to round off a great night of racing at Singapore’s Kranji racetrack after Danny Beasley piloted Moment of Truth to victory in race 3 on the card.
