Kranji Race Track

The current Singapore race track at Kranji was opened in 2000 and kicked off with a bang hosting the inaugural running of the $3 million Singapore Airlines International Cup.

You can bet on Singapore horse racing at Kranji on Friday night races and Sunday night racing with the majority of online bookmakers offering you a host of selected bet types for horse betting on Singapore horse racing for you.

Betting on Asian racing is growing in popularity with Singapore racing well received by punters who bet with Australia's biggest bookmakers online.

There are many different bet types available for you to invest your money in with online bookmakers offering far greater incentives to online punters than what you do receive from the TAB in your state.

Free bet offers and other inducements such as percentage bonuses on your winners can see you bet for free at the expense of the online bookmaker.

The most popular form of betting on Singapore races is the win bet and this has a lot to do with the both the dominance of leading trainers and riders and also the restricted pool of horses from which they race at the Kranji racecourse.

Unlike in Australia where we have an abundance of racehorses in every state that can be set for any race on any country track let alone any city class meeting, the fields for Singapore races come from a restricted pool of horses and it is therefore much more easy for punters to align the form when betting on Singapore horse racing.

Singapore horse racing is conducted all year round and the Singapore Turf Club has done a fantastic job in recent year's lifting the profile of Singapore races. Singapore now is home to two international races with the Singapore Airlines International Cup and the KrisFlyer International Sprint.

The quality of horses heading to Singapore for these races is a reflection of the fantastic prizemoney levels the Singapore Turf Club has put up for these feature events.

Just a quick look at the honour roll of previous Singapore Cup winners highlights the quality of horses that take part in Singapore horse racing. The 2009 winner of the Singapore International Cup started an outsider despite finishing second in the Dubai World Cup, Australian Raider Pompeii Ruler could only finish fourth.

Our luck wasn't much better in the 2009 KrisFlyer International Sprint with Hong Kong champion Sacred Kingdom handing out a first ever defeat to the local wonderhorse Rocket Man while Australian sprinter Takeover Target who won the race in 2008, finished down the track in eighth place.
